South-east Europe network transplant
Why did we formed Network?
The idea of forming this Network was born in Rovinj - Croatia in 2014, when we realized that together we can do much more. At the meeting held on 30. 3. 2015 in Zlatibor - Serbia, an agreement has been made about the cooperation of regional transplant associations through the South East Europe Transplant Network by signing a mutual memorandum of cooperation. The Memorandum document was signed in Vitez - Bosnia–Herzegovina, 30. 5. 2015.

For the purpose of achieving the goals the Action Team is formed comprising of one member from each memorandum signatory. The Action Team creates and suggests to the signatories a strategic, business and financial plan for further activities of The Network.
Increased number of organ transplants, as well as the number of donors. Prevention of illness.
Improvement of the quality of treatment and the quality of people's lives before and after an organ transplant.
Improvement of existing laws regulating the field of organ transplant and their regional harmonization.
Creation of guidelines, protocols and registers.
Mutual support, experience, exchange and transmission of good practice examples between the member countries.
Strenghtening of each individual organization and the non-governmental sector.
Ways of achieving the goals
Mutual public appearances, informing of the media, the making of promotional material, organization of mutual activities, Illness prevention.
For the purpose of improving the quality of life of transplant patients various educational lectures and workshops will be organized, intended for the membership and/or for the broader public. They will be realized yearly and will be published in some kind of easily available form (such as the electronic). Furthermore, activities aimed at improvement of psychophysical abilities, physical condition and diet will be organized.
Continuous analysis of legislative processes in individual countries, comparison, harmonization and preparation of proposals to legislative bodies and the authorities. Involvement in political and legislative courses which deal with problems of our interest.
Mutual assistance in lobbying and delegating into the executive bodies which decide about the standards, treatment perspectives and registers.
In order to enhance experience interchange between patients we will create a website linked with supporting social networks that will be open to the public. Through this cooperation we will work on strengthening of our organizations through both knowledge interchange between the representatives and through educational workshops.
Through cooperation and interchange of experience and knowledge the signatories will give mutual support for strengthening the capacities of each association and bolstering of member organizations on all levels.
